Cure Inhibition

Platinum silicone will not cure properly against some materials such as sulfur clays, certain woods, tin cure silicones and latex. Proper research is recommended for avoiding cure inhibition but if you're unsure, you can do a small-scale test.

Preparation 

Ensure you have a clean and level workspace and that the item you want to make a mould of is clean and clear of debris.

Gather all equipment before you begin such as brushes for brush-on moulds and containers for poured moulds. 

Use in a properly ventilated area while wearing suitable PPE. Wear vinyl gloves only - latex gloves will cause cure inhibition. 

Platinum silicone cures faster in high temperatures and slower in low temperatures. Your work time and unmould time are greatly influenced by room temperature. 

I allow myself a 30-minute work time and de-mould after 1 day (2 days in cold weather) but this is based on my own experience, and I recommend finding a good balance for your workspace, room temperature, and timeframe needs.
